If you have never been to Nepal or visited only less places then its better to explore yourself. Because Nepal is very beautiful country, rich in natural beauty. Nepal is less developed country compared to big countries like USA, Canada, Japan, England or other but it is very rich in Natural beauty. No matter how modernized and rich you are, there is nothing more impressive than the Natural beauty. The smell of the natural fresh air is far better than the air of industrialized places. Nepal have several suitable places for rafting, ideal safari, hunting, trekking, Bungee Jumping, Paragliding and many more. Not only the natural beauty but also the culture and tradition is the major attraction in Nepal. Over a 100 different castes and societies live peacefully among each other in this divine land. So, take some time and get yourself free from those tall buildings and touch these tall mountains and enjoy life in Nepal for at least couple of weeks.
Naturally and geographically, Nepal is the great place to visit. Having Himalaya, hill and flat areas, Nepal stands out to be the best place to explore yourself. Though there are several places to visit in Nepal, here, I have a list of top 5 wonders of Nepal where I strongly recommend you to visit. Let's visit Nepal and help it get recognized all over the world.


1. Mt. Everest

One of the most Popular place of the world where every one wants to see it in their life, Mt Everest is located in Solukhumbu District, Sagarmatha Zone, Nepal.The highest summit on earth - Mount Everest is also known as Sagarmatha. Its peak is 8,848 meters (29,029 ft) above sea level and is the 5th furthest summit from the center of the Earth. It is certainly acknowledged by everyone that the Mt. Everest is the highest mountain peak in the world. As, being the #1 highest peak of the world, Mt. Everest is pride of Nepal.

There are two main climbing routes, one approaching the summit from the southeast in Nepal (known as the standard route) and the other from the north in Tibet. Early years, Nepal had not allowed foreigners to climb mountain, so the climbers tried to from Tibet. Over the years, this place has attracted highly experienced mountaineers. To climb this mountain it needs much experience and talent. Without the professional guide, climbing Mt. Everest is too difficult. Altitude sickness, weather condition, wind as well as significant objective hazards from avalanches and the Khumbu Icefall is major obstacles in climbing this highest mountain. So, climbers use bottled oxygen in order to reach the top but some climbers have summitted Everest without supplemental oxygen. Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary made the first official ascent of Everest in 1953. In 1978 Reinhold Messner and Peter Habeler were the first to reach the mountain summit without artificial oxygen.

2. Lumbini:

     "Lumbini is World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1997."

Lumbini, birthplace of Lord Buddha, is a pilgrimage site in Rupandehi district of Nepal. According to Buddhists tradition, it is the place where Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in 623 BCE. Gautama, after attained enlightenment, named as Gautam Buddha.
Places of inerest in lumbini are:
1. Mayadevi temple: Inside Mayadevi temple we can see the exact place of birth of Lore Buddha.
2. Bodhi tree: Under this tree Buddha attained wisdom.
3. Sacred Pool (Puskarni): It is said that the Buddha's mother took the ritual dip prior to his birth and he too had his first bath in this pond.
4. Ashoka Pillar: Emperor Ashoka during his reign in the 3rd century BC, built many stone pillars including Ashoka pillar, which is located near Maya devi temple.
5. Eternal Peace Flame: A flame that has been burning continuously for an indefinite period.
6. Lumbini garden: It is described as a beautiful garden in the Buddha's time.
Here are a lot of chaityas, stupas and viharas to see.All these attraction places have their own historical beliefs.
More than 100k tourists visit Lumbini every year. All those followers of Buddha path wants to visit Lumbini at least once in their life. Lumbini has man made temples, monastries and other structures but the holy belief of this place, soothingly, attracts peace lovers.

3. Kathmandu: PashupatiNath Temple:



    "Pashupatinath is also listed on UNESCO World Heritage Sites's list."

Most sacred place for the Hindu religion, Pashupatinath temple is located on the banks of the Bagmati River, in Deopatan, 5 kilometres north-east of Kathmandu Valley.The temple is of the Nepalese pagoda style of architecture. It attracts thousands of pilgrims each year and has become well known far beyond the Kathmandu Valley. Mostly, Indian Hindus visit to this places. This temple is related to Lord Shiva. Entrance to the temple is forbidden to non-Hindus. Despite, the temple is forbidden to non-Hindus, the place is always crowded. Especially, during the occasion of Maha Shivaratri and women's festival Teej, this temple becomes very crowded. Over 700,000 devotees visit here on this occasion.

Pashupatinath Temple's existence dates back to 400 A.D. This temple has holy symbol of Lord Shiva. Here we can see; two-tiered pagoda temple built on a single-tier plinth, sanctum (contains a one-meter high linga with four faces (chaturmukha) representing Pashupati, as well as images of Vishnu, Surya, Devi and Ganesh,) Dharmashila, small pagoda temple of Vasuki, Bagmati River, and Pandra Shivalaya.

3. Chitwan national park:

    "Chitwan National Park is listed on World Heritage Site's list in 1984."

Chitwan Nation park is the first Nation park in Nepal. It was established in the year 1973. Firstly, it was known as Royal Chitwan National Park but after the dismissal of Royal family of Nepal, it was renamed to Chitwan National Park.
Chitwan National Park(CNP) is rich in natural resources in the Terai and is the subtropical southern part of Nepal.Over the years, this place place has played vital role in protection of rare animals, including, one-horned rhinoceros,Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile. A total of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park.

Attractive activities in this place are:
elephant-jeep-safaris, rafting tours, jungle walks, Night enjoyment in Hotel, Cultural performance by locals and many others.

5. Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)


    "Midst for Annapurna I, Annapurna South,Machapuchhre and Hiunchuli."

Annapurna Base Camp is situated in Pokhara, Nepal. Annapurna Base Camp is at 4130 m height. Annapurna base Camp base and midst for Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli(6441 m). Mt. Annapurna (8091m) is the 10th highest mountain in the world.The Annapurna peaks are among the world's most dangerous mountains to climb. The journey to its base camp is one of the most popular treks on earth. The trek starts from either from Phedi or from Nayapul after reaching Pokhara.

Annapurna Base (ABC) Trekking is known as Annapurna Sanctuary. Annapurna Base Camp trek starts from Gorepani. Annapurna base Camp trek takes approximately two weeks depending upon the speed of the trekkers. A risk of avalanches is there but the challenge accepted by the mountaineers and trekkers.Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp allows us to view terraced rice paddies, luscious rhododendron forests, and high altitude landscapes along with the Annapurna range.
